Frequently Asked Questions

What credentials do your teachers have? Are they CPR/First Aid certified?

All staff at Illuminate Early Learning Academy must undergo a thorough background check and maintain a current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification.

Our teachers are working towards or already have a CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood. This said, we have found that early childhood experience and passion for working with children creates a significant foundation for success in the classroom, so we welcome teachers who can bring heart and soul to our school while they work on their educational pursuits. We hold several Professional Development training days throughout the year to ensure standards of excellence across the board.

What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. We offer a before and after school program, as well as both full time and part time schedule options based on availability.

What ages do you accept?

We serve children from three months through Kindergarten (typically age 6).

What is your teacher-to-child ratio?

Ratios vary by age group and follow state licensing guidelines. For your child’s specific age group, check in with our admin team by coming in for a tour or emailing us at admin@illuminateearly.com.

What does a typical day look like?

Each classroom follows a consistent daily routine that includes play-based learning, group activities, outdoor time, meals/snacks, rest, and nurturing interactions. Curriculum and activities are tailored to the developmental needs of each age group. For more information, click here.

What are your health and safety protocols?

Health and safety are our top priorities for the wellbeing of our students and our staff here at Illuminate. We follow strict cleaning routines, maintain secure entry systems, and ensure staff are trained in CPR, First Aid, and emergency preparedness. Sick policies are in place to help our community healthy.

Do you provide meals and snacks?

We provide a nutritious breakfast for any child who would like it, and snacks throughout the day to keep our little ones fueled. We ask that families send a packed lunch each day. Infant feeding schedules and dietary needs are honored with love and care.

How do you communicate with families?

We believe in strong school-family partnerships. Teachers provide daily updates, photos, and notes through a secure app called Brightwheel. For our littlest friends, we are sure to log diaper changes, feeding, and accurate nap times. Our leadership team believes in honest, open communication and are eager to address any questions or concerns that arise.

Can I tour the school before enrolling?

Absolutely! We highly encourage doing so before you fill out an application. We would love to meet you and your family! Schedule a tour here.
